IRS Complex Audits Down

As a former Revenue Agent (field auditor) for the IRS, I am always keen to review when TIGTA does a report. TIGTA is the Inspector General for the IRS, and part of its job is to find out areas where the IRS can improve. The image above is the beginning of a large report where TIGTA explains that the IRS has been unable to complete audits of large partnerships due to “lack of resources”.

This is important because it is a telling report showcasing how the IRS is unable to do its own job because it lacks the funding to do so.
