Born and raised in Calgary, Ian has always looked for ways to help improve the financial lives of others. At 11 years old, he started a small loan operation, lending his saved money to his older siblings at 10% interest.

 

When attending university, Ian began a small business preparing tax returns for Canadian university students in the United States. He also assisted Canadians living in the United States with receiving US student financial aid. Ian earned a Bachelor of Science (Dean’s list) from Utah Valley University.

 

Ian has worked in Finance and Accounting capacities for several Fortune 500 companies, as well as working in the Tax department for EY (Ernst & Young) in Calgary.

Ian is a member of the Canadian Tax Foundation. 

 

Ian assists and supports activities supporting those with disabilities throughout the community. 

 

Ian currently lives with his family in Calgary.
